Deborah Baku
Deborah studied Biosciences at the Goethe University Frankfurt. For her Bachelor's thesis, she worked on a research project investigating heat shock transcription factors and the interaction between cytosolic and ER unfolded protein responses, focusing on stress-related gene expression. She then completed a Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Erlangen. In her thesis, she used proximity-dependent biotinylation (BioID) in combination with mass spectrometry to analyse Rac/Rop GTPase signalling, identifying downstream effectors and related cellular processes. In 2025, she joined the Münch laboratory as a technician.
