Justus Fricke
Justus is a PhD student in the lab, studying unconventional autophagy pathways. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in biochemistry from Heidelberg University. Previous research brought him to the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and the EMBL in Heidelberg. His master thesis work was conducted in the group of Clifford Woolf at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where Justus was focusing on stem cell-derived organoid models. Before joining the laboratory for his PhD, he had left science for two years to work as a strategy consultant. Off work, Justus is passionately volunteering for the scouts (VCP). Also, he likes to be outdoors and explore.
