Dr. Parviz Ghezellou
Parviz Ghezellou is a bioanalytical researcher specializing in biomolecular profiling using advanced liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. He earned his Doctor of Science (Dr. rer. nat.) in Analytical Chemistry from Justus Liebig University Giessen, Germany, in 2021, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. B. Spengler. His doctoral research focused on mass spectrometry-based molecular profiling of complex biological systems using Top-down and bottom-up proteomics beside high-lateral resolution MALDI mass spectrometry imaging. During his first postdoctoral position, supported by the LOEWE-Zentrum DRUID, Parviz investigated molecular dysregulation in the proteome and lipidome of liver tissues from hamsters and mice infected with Schistosoma mansoni, while also contributing to various interdisciplinary projects on neglected tropical diseases. In 2024, he joined the Münch Lab at the Institute of Molecular Systems Medicine and Ilka Wittig for his second postdoctoral position, where he continues to advance his career in omics technologies and systems biology.
