Rawad Hanna completed his Master’s and PhD studies at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in the laboratory of Prof. Oded Kleifeld. During his thesis work, he developed mass spectrometry–based proteomics approaches to profile proteolytic enzymes and map their substrates in complex biological systems. He then continued at the Technion as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Ayala Shiber, focusing on protein translation. Rawad joined the Münch lab in February 2026 to explore post-translational modifications in mitochondria and their role in mitochondrial proteostasis.
