Yuanyuan received proteomics-related scientific training in the laboratory of Professor Weijie Qin at the National Center for Protein Sciences in Beijing, where he completed his master's thesis. During this time, he developed a technique to enrich and quantify protein sulfenylation (Cys-SOH) from extracellular vesicles. After completing his master's degree, he worked as a research assistant, focusing on the development of deep plasma proteomics analysis techniques. In 2022, he joined The Proteomic Navigator of the Human Body (π-HuB) project as a mass spectrometry and automation platform application engineer, developing high-throughput microproteomics techniques. In 2024, he joined the Münch lab to pursue his PhD.
