Pubali received her Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology from Kolkata, India. She holds a Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. During her Master’s thesis in the lab of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hartl at the MPI of Biochemistry, she worked on the degradation of alpha-synuclein aggregates which led to her interest in protein quality control mechanisms. In July 2024, she joined the Münch lab to study the secretion of aggregates from cells as a quality control mechanism.
