Dr. Martina Reiss
Martina obtained her Ph.D in Genetics at the University of Cologne in collaboration with Taconic Bioscience GmbH in Leverkusen, Germany. There, she extensively focused on mouse model generation, technology development and DNA engineering. After completing her post-doctoral training at the DZNE (German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases) in Bonn, Germany, she moved back to biotechnology industry and joined Gene Bridges GmbH in 2014. For Gene Bridges, later transformed into Gen-H (Genetic Engineering Heidelberg GmbH), she participated in the EU-funded project “AgedBrainSYSBIO” where she developed a new strategy to humanize large genomic regions. As a project manager she was also responsible for all transgenic projects, customized mouse model generation and transgenic research collaborations. In 2023, Martina joined the Münch group, where she coordinates a portfolio of research grants and administrative scientific tasks.
